This policy explains what personal data LetsPost.ai collects, why, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have. It is written in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023 and Rules 2025.

1. Who we are

LetsPost.ai ("we", "us", "our") is operated by LetsPost.ai Private Limited, an Indian company. We provide an AI-powered social media content platform that generates marketing images, captions, and related content, and publishes to connected social accounts.

For the purposes of the DPDP Act, we act as a Data Fiduciary for the personal data you provide.

2. What data we collect

Account data: your mobile number and PIN (encrypted).
Brand data: business name, logo, brand colours, contact details you add.
Content you upload: product photos and other images you provide for generation.
Content we generate: AI-created images, captions, and related outputs linked to your account.
Usage data: how you use the app (features used, posts generated) to run and improve the service.
Payment data: processed by our payment partner (Razorpay). We do not store your full card or banking details.
Social connection data: when you connect Facebook/Instagram, access tokens and page details needed to publish on your behalf.

3. Why we use your data (purpose)

We use your data only to:

Create your account and let you sign in.
Generate images, captions, and content you request.
Store and display your creations in your gallery.
Publish or schedule posts to your connected social accounts (only when you ask).
Process subscription and top-up payments.
Send you service-related and (if you opt in) promotional emails.
Maintain security, prevent misuse, and improve the service.
Develop, test, optimise, and improve new features and platform performance.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Consent

We collect and process your data based on the consent you give at signup and when you use specific features.
You may withdraw consent at any time (see "Your rights"). Withdrawing consent may limit or stop parts of the service.
Consent for connecting social accounts is separate and can be revoked by disconnecting.

5. Who we share data with (processors)

We share limited data with trusted service providers only to run the service. These include, among others:

Razorpay
Meta (Facebook / Instagram)
Google
ImageKit
Resend

We also use other trusted third-party service providers and APIs to operate, secure, optimise, and improve the platform — for example for performance, analytics, storage, AI processing, and the delivery of new features. These providers process data only on our instructions and only as needed to run the service. Because we add and improve features regularly, our specific providers may change over time; the categories above reflect our current use. Where a change introduces a genuinely new use of your personal data, we will update this policy and notify you as required.

These are data processors acting on our instructions, not for their own purposes. We do not share your data with anyone else except where required by law.

6. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. Images are stored with our storage provider (ImageKit). We apply access controls and encryption where appropriate.

7. How long we keep it (retention)

Account data: kept while your account is active.
Free-tier images: automatically deleted after 75 days (with prior notice).
After account deletion: your personal data and content are deleted from active systems within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records for legal, tax, or accounting reasons.

8. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you can:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct or update your data.
Delete your account and associated personal data.
Withdraw consent for processing.
Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.
Raise a grievance and get it addressed.

To exercise any of these, use the in-app "Delete My Account" / "Privacy & Data" option or email us (below).

9. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — encrypted credentials, access controls, and secure storage — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India of any breach as required.

10. Children

LetsPost.ai is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you are under 18, please do not use the service.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our service or the law evolves. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email.
